Senior Technical Consultant (Please Quote Ref: ORB-CON01)

An enthusiastic, versatile individual is required to join an established team providing a range of Technical consultancy services around the exceptional TaskCentre Business Process Management suite. This senior role requires a combination of excellent I.T technical and business process management skills. The successful candidate would be positioned in the Technical services department reporting to the commercial director and be responsible for the production of all TaskCentre partner resources and solutions material.

Experience & Qualifications:

A graduate with at least 3 years experience in the field of I.T based technical pre-sales or as an integration or systems engineer having a number of successful projects under their belt and now seeking new challenges in an exciting and evolving market.

This individual’s greatest strength will be their technical ability however they will be able to combine this with an affinity for sales and a good demonstrative manner and therefore able to communicate ideas clearly effectively and with a persuasive enthusiasm. They will also have a hunger for new ideas and solutions and be able to bolt together and build customised solutions that have good industrial strength before changing into the role of trainer to show a class of delegates how to use it.

Any experience in automated business process design will be advantageous.

Essential are scripting skills and knowledge in basic web design using ASP.

A strong working knowledge and understanding of the concepts of relational database management systems coupled with a demonstrable working knowledge of SQL.

Any background in producing complex business reports perhaps with Crystal Reports or an equivalent product that has a web presence would prove these skills are evident.

Valid experience may alternatively have come from an applications background that involved product customisation to fulfil a customer’s requirement reporting into the project manager able to work effectively in a fast deployment environment, meet deadlines, conscious of compliance and customer focused.

Having completed the solution you would be expected to adequately train company personal at all levels on how to use the product in a classroom environment of up to six individuals at a time.

Other Skills:

You should be comfortable working in any windows environment but in particular Windows server 2003 0r 2008 this hopefully will be combined with a knowledge of virtualisation such as VMWare and the ESX server. You will be conscious of the effects that both virtualisation and the operating system may have upon the operation of your solutions both in its networking and peripheral activity with other servers and services.

A discrete but probing questioning manner will be essential putting customers at ease yet still able to question and promote change to any of the more sensitive aspects of a potential solution. Combined with excellent written English and analysis skills you will be able to convert these conversation pieces into a clear and concise requirements specification.
