An enthusiastic, creative and highly motivated individual is required to join an established team to develop advanced modern user interfaces for Orbis Software's industry leading software applications.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• A good knowledge of the functionality of Sage CRM
• Ability to customize Sage CRM using the tools provided with it
• A good knowledge of general business functions enabling the provision of solutions
• A strong working knowledge and understanding of the concepts of relational database management systems
• Experience of using reporting tools
• A good working knowledge of SQL query language
• A good knowledge of current Windows desktop operating systems including Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7
• Rudimentary Networking knowledge
• Software environment build skills required to replicate customer’s environments in-house

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of other mainstream CRM and ERP packages
• Knowledge of server platforms such as Windows Server
• Knowledge of scripting languages VB & JScript
• Configuring and using database access using OLEDB and/or ODBC
• Knowledge of SQL server administration
• IIS web site administration and an understanding of ASP

Advantage Skills:

• TaskCentre experience
• Good understanding of problems that can occur during an installation process practically with 32/64 bit and IIS related issues
• Familiarity with any of FTP, Fax, SMTP, Mail Servers such as MS Exchange, Lotus Notes, Groupwise, General SMTP principles, Active directory, IIS, MS SQL Server, Oracle
• Knowledge of virtualization environments such as ESX Server
• Knowledge or Unix and/or Linux
• Experience with any middleware/automation product

• Good background in creating complex user interfaces using Microsoft Expression Blend
• The ability to create stunning modern visuals fully leveraging on the Blend toolset and other applications where applicable
• The ability to create complex animations using timelines and storyboards
• Knowledge of using built in and custom behaviors
• Knowledge of creating and managing libraries of custom user controls

Desirable Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Visual Studio and its integration with Blend
• Exposure to the development lifecycle
• An appreciation of MVC architecturesr
• A good appreciation of the technical considerations when constructing client centric web applications functioning over a WAN

Advantage Skills:

• Knowledge of virtualization environments such as VMWare Workstation
• Good general background in Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems
• Basic C# programming

Other Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• A strong appreciation for current visual design trends and styles
• The ability to design layouts which are tasteful, visually appealing and yet highly functional
• A strong appreciation of how to make an HMI highly intuitive and instantly usable without the need for instruction
• The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• The ability to work closely with a team
• A creative, innovative and lateral thinker
• Self motivated, conscientious and determined
• Tenacious attitude to problem solving
• You should have a strong desire to contribute ideas but be willing to compromise where necessary
• Ability to follow precise instructions but also to think “outside of the box”

Other Desirable Skills:

• Experience of the graphical techniques involved in creating images using tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Gimp
• Experience of other web based technologies such as Flash or AJAX

Other Advantage Skills:

• Experience of hand coding HTML or PHP
• Experience of 3D rendering using tools such as Blender
